Villa Sungai Tinggi is respectively also called Villa Angin
Laut (which means "sea breeze") because it is
dramatically located on a quiet stretch of Canggu beach and is
one of Bali's very few absolute beachfront villas, with direct
access to the beach.
Villa Angin Laut has the ultimate sunset panorama with
views over to the Jimbaran Bukit headland in the south across
to the Java coastline in the west and the cloudy peaks of
Gunung Agung to the north.
Located just beyond the quiet and picturesque Balinese
Village of Parerenan, Villa Sungai Tinggi or Angin Laut is
totally secluded from the bustling tourist areas and yet is an
easy 35 minute drive to Ngurah Rai International Airport and
only 15 minutes from the many popular restaurants and shops of
Seminyak.
The villa is situated at the end of a scenic road that
winds its way through emerald rice terraces down to the sea.
Cooled by a pleasant on shore breeze, this beach front villa
is dominated by an open air, ocean facing living pavilion, the
perfect spot from which to watch the sunset.
For the golf enthusiasts, the Nirwana Bali Golf Course -
The Le Meridien Hotel and the famous Tanah Lot Temple are less
than a 10 minutes drive. The Nusa Dua Golf Club and Bali
Handara Golf Course are an equidistant 1 hour's drive away.
Accommodation
Villa Sungai Tinggi has 4 spacious bedroom suites completed
with 5 private en-suites bathroom, 3 of them are with bathtub.
For a special request, the Library studio can be the fifth
suite. All suites have custom made oversized king beds with
built in wardrobes.
The villa has been designed with a master and study bedroom
wings on ground level and a separate wing with two ground
level bedroom suites and a bedroom suite upstairs opening onto
a casual upstairs living area.
All bedrooms have fabulous ocean views with large glass
sliding doors that open onto terraces leading directly onto
the garden. High alang-alang grass roofed ceilings and the
cool and clean feel of dark teak timber floors underfoot have
been used throughout and each bedroom has individual deluxe
split air conditioning units as well as overhead ceiling fans.
The bedroom interiors have been tastefully furnished with a
balance of modern rattan and collected antique furniture and
artifacts.
The Living and Dining Room
The stunning main 12 meter x 8 meter open living and dining
pavilion has been designed for relaxation and entertainment
and provides optimum enjoyment of the wonderful ocean, river
and unforgettable sunset views. The pavilion with it's high
natural alang alang grass ceiling, the tall supporting coconut
columns and the cool cream terrazzo paved floors is the very
essence of tropical living.
Swimming Pool
The wonderful 18 meter long swimming pool is lined with
green stone with a palimanan stone surround and is only meters
away from the beach. A swim in the pool, a surf at one of
Bali's most popular surf beaches, a beach walk, a bike ride up
to the village and its surrounds or a quiet fish at the rock
pools are all only a matter of steps.
